Housekeeping Supervisor- Bay View Inn

Basic responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the Innkeeper on daily projects and achieving high standards.
• Responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, preparing daily tasks list, assigning duties, and providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Assist housekeepers with room assignments and tasks as needed.
• Clean guest rooms as needed.
• Work on deep cleaning projects.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, coordinating or ordering replacements and equipment repair.
• Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and issues and manage lost and found.
• Coordinate and/or facilitate housekeeping staff training on standard operating procedures, safety policies, and health/sanitation regulations.
• Inspect premises, public areas, and/or guest rooms, ensuring compliance to company procedures and health/sanitation standards.
• Work to achieve high standards in cleaning and inspecting guest rooms.
• Work closely with maintenance department on daily tasks.

Education and Experience:

• Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
• Experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full Time

Hourly Wage: Starting at $19.50
