Not only their communication with their team members, but communication with the guests of the restaurant. As a HIS Restaurant Manager Intern, you will be taught how to communicate effectively with team members, such as informing them of daily specials, handling issues between two or more team members and/or conflict between team members and guests. Interns will also be giving the opportunity to communicate with guests by being taught how to greet tables in a genuine and polite manner, greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, and also handling guest complaints.

Communication is key, and understanding how to communicate properly will not only help you in managing a restaurant, but will also help you become a better manager.

The restaurant industry attracts people from all walks of life. Accountability is an important skill to that you will learn because not only does it protect the integrity of the restaurant, but also protects the team members and guests that are in the restaurant.
