Job Title: Lodge/Hotel Internship
Property: Crooked River Lodge
Supervisors: Vickey Kasuske, Property Manager; Joy Fidler, Assistant Manager
HIS Job Requirements:
- Maintain compliance with the guidelines and requirements described in Employee Handbook.

- Take initiative to maintain cleanliness, order, organization, and preparedness of your immediate work environment and surrounding company property.
Intern Job Responsibilities:
- Work in the housekeeping department. Provide clean guest room. Become familiar with the guest rooms and Lodge property
- Work with the Housekeeping Manager in inspecting rooms and supervising the housekeeping team
- Work at the Front Desk, learning our POS, checking guests in and out of the Lodge, making reservations, providing outstanding guest services
- Assist with concierge or guest service-related inquiries such as guest room supplies, making dining reservations, directions to local establishments, etc.
- Assist Food and Beverage Department as needed
- Tour and train at our other Lodging Properties
- Gain experience working as Manager on Duty
- Other duties as assigned
Intern Requirements & Qualifications (applies to all internships)
- Ability to work long hours and be flexible with scheduling
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- A computer background is beneficial
- Must be able to work through the duration of the summer months
- Must possess a high level of self-discipline, persistence and patience. Must be able to recognize and solve problems
- Ability to motivate, improve teamwork and raise morale among employees often engaged in difficult challenging and stressful work
Evaluation:
The mentor and intern will perform weekly meetings and evaluations. The intern will be responsible for providing HIS with any necessary paperwork required by the individual’s school. The intern will also provide HIS with a written assessment of their experiences and observations of the operations for suggestions and improvements.
