HIS-Northern MI, Inc. is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner on behalf of the Bay View Inn, the Crooked River Lodge, the Perry Hotel, and the Pier and Weathervane Restaurants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
• Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
• Enter invoice data for payment
• Process payables reports for check runs
• Manage weekly check runs and other reports as necessary
• Prepare vendor checks for disbursement
• Update vendor files as needed
• Print and distribute reports as requested

Education Requirements:

Certificate or Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Management or at least 2 years of Accounting experience

Physical Demands:

This position is stationed in an open office environment requiring sitting in front of computer. Minimal lifting of materials from time to time are required. The highest level of accuracy and meeting deadlines is a high priority.

Time Demands:

This is primarily a Monday-Friday, normal business hours position, however the hours worked can be flexible from day to day once training has been completed.
