Banquet Setup
Job Description
A Banquet Setup person is responsible preparing banquet space for all banquet functions in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in keeping with Stafford’s efforts to deliver outstanding guest service.
Essential Job Functions
- Be able to read each Banquet Event Order (BEO) and understand how to complete the setup, including any additional directions from the Food & Beverage Manager or his/her designate.
- Set tables and chairs in assigned areas correctly and uniformly.
- Assist in setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
- Greet guests and respond to requests as needed following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
- Complete assigned side work – including, but not limited to, setting up, tearing down, moving, and/or wiping down outdoor furniture and equipment.
- Hours: Flexible; scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel or a related field preferred.
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Physical Requirements
- Medium work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
