Hotel Earl - PT Bartender

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Bartender to prepare and serve beverages while creating a welcoming experience for guests. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and follows responsible alcohol-service and sanitation practices.The position will work with both full service and banquet style bars

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes, portion standards, and guest preferences.
  • Set up and tear down of bars as needed.
  • Assist with event set and teardown
  • Greet guests promptly, take accurate orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
  • Verify identification and follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies.
  • Process cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
  • Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and notify management of shortages or equipment issues.
  • Follow responsible service procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure timely service.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or beverage-service experience preferred; training may be available for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of common cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol-service practices.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to remain organized and professional during busy periods.
  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in the work location.
  • Responsible beverage-service certifications required. If not certified the hotel will provide certification.
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.

Schedule and Compensation

Part-time hours will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Compensation includes an hourly wage plus tips, based on experience and applicable law. Specific availability and pay details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently reach and bend, and safely lift and carry supplies weighing up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
